The Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy / Al-Muthanna was established in the academic year 2024–2025.

The Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy / Al-Muthanna was founded in 2024 as part of the formations of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, in response to the growing need for preparing specialized engineering and technical cadres in the fields of oil and energy. The College aims to supply the labor market with qualified scientific competencies that keep pace with modern technological developments, and to contribute to supporting the oil and energy sectors, thereby enhancing the path of sustainable development in Al-Muthanna Governorate and Iraq in general.
