(The Speicher Massacre… A Wound That Never Heals)
Pursuant to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Middle Euphrates Technical University, the Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy – Al-Muthanna organized a moment of silence and mourning in commemoration of the anniversary of the Speicher massacre martyrs, attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Lawzi, along with College staff and students.
The observance included the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a minute of silence in mercy upon the souls of the martyrs, in remembrance of their sacrifices, which shall remain forever present in the memory of Iraqis, and in embodiment of the values of loyalty and gratitude to those who gave their lives in defence of the homeland.
The observance concluded with prayers for mercy and forgiveness for all the martyrs of Iraq, and supplications that Almighty God may bestow upon our country security, stability, and peace.
