Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Achieves a New Academic and Institutional Milestone by Officially Obtaining National Institutional Accreditation, Pursuant to Ministerial Order No. (160) dated 15/7/2026, After Successfully Meeting the National Quality Standards and Accreditation Requirements Approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the University’s journey toward consolidating its quality assurance and institutional excellence framework. It reflects the University’s commitment to developing its academic, administrative, and research performance, as well as serving the community in accordance with approved national standards.
The attainment of accreditation is the fruit of sustained efforts and the direct follow-up of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi; the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadai; and the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoomi. This accomplishment also stems from the collective efforts of the University Presidency, its various formations, and all its staff members, alongside the pivotal role played by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University Presidency, and the Quality Assurance and University Performance Units across all university formations, in following up on accreditation requirements and standards and enhancing the quality and institutional performance framework.
